Paestum and Atrani

Our third week came to an end with a pin up of our initial analysis and designs of the three piazza studies. We then voted for one that we would like to see each person develop more. It was great to see how everyone approach the project and also to see how much we are all improving on hand drawing and graphic techniques.

The next day we left for our first weekend trip as a group. We left Friday morning to see Paestum first. The temples were amazing to see and extremely well preserved. I also accomplished my first representational watercolor on the trip.

After another train ride and an a packed bus ride we continued on to Atrani. It was such a beautiful place to spend the weekend and explore. That Sunday we ventured as a group up to Ravello and saw Oscar Niemeyer's Auditorium. The Amafi coast was such a beautiful place, it was probably my favorite part of the trip so far.
