The Palatine Hill is one of the seven hills of Rome. Although the buildings no longer exist the splendor of the hill remains. They believe the hill has been occupied since the founding of Rome. Eventually it became the choice spot for the Imperial Palace. The word palace is actually derived from Palatine. This is the era that it maintains today.

The entire site is comprised of ruins but that is where the magic begins. Taking your imagination for a ride allows you to see what it must have been like to live in such a place. How beautiful it must have been. You can just begin to see the layers upon layers of building, the outdoor courtyards, and large number of rooms. You ask yourself what happened here in this spot, right where I am standing. With materials being expensive and labor cheap the whole place is comprised of small materials all placed together to create something amazing. It’s better than a fairy tale.
