Paestum is an archaelogical site that contains the best examples of Doric temples in the world today. We had the privilege of stopping by on our way to the coast this past Friday. The site is an ancient city that is all but ruins, the splendor lies in the three temples. The temples (temple of Hera I and II, and temple of Athena) have been standing for some two thousand years with little help from mankind. They are truly incredible.
The city itself is pretty amazing as well. It hasn't all been excavated but that's the beauty of it, once again your imagination is allowed to have some fun. Walking around the grounds provides such intrigue. We were there for several hours wich allowed us enough time to explore as well as do some sketching. That said, I take a leap of faith and post some

of my sketches.
