Modern Rome

The Foro Romano (Roman Forum) is an amazing place to spend a day in adventure. It is easy to imagine walking through the streets of the Forum during ancient times. Shopping and socializing with friends; especially when walking on the ancient Via Sacra and walking past the Temple of Vesta and the Temple of Regia. Then reality comes back with the installations of modern art sporadically placed in the forum. It fascinates me that different time periods can coexist with one another in a non obstructive way in this city.
