The transition from the US to Rome has been for the most part smooth. Avoiding jet lag has been possible by timing the first day out to stay awake for most of the daylight of the day, and waking up early the next day running. Literally. In hopes to avoid the jet lag and get enough sleep in the night running and exercise has been my attempt at a solution. After hearing that being to tourist traps and highlights early in the morning would be a great way to avoid the crowds. This then developed the concept of early morning runs to experience the city like none other, in a brisk manner. The following map indicates the two morning runs so far that were great for site seeing and exercise. I hope to continue this experience and have a new goal of running to the 13 different obelisks in the city as their own, individual run. Along with the program starting this experience of viewing the city definitely has its ups and downs. (No pun intended.)
