So the first week is almost over. I already feel confident in finding my way around the city and was proud to have found my piazzas without the use of a map. We are living in Trastevere which is made up of narrow wandering streets, tons of restaurants, and nightlife entertainment. Strangely enough the sites that appeal to me most are the least talked about ones. The Pantheon was definitely awesome but the side streets and small chapels and liveliness of the whole place really define what Rome is. My favorite building so far oddly enough is the Jewish Synagogue. It stands out among a cloud of treetops and happens to be square domed instead of round. The above picture is Santa Sabina on the Aventine Hill. We hiked up there and had an amazing view of Saint Peters through a tiny keyhole. This church is the mother church of the Domenican Order and has beautiful grounds that look out over the entire city. The bottom is the synagogue.

Glad to hear you are finding your way around and some interesting places off the beaten path.
Was at Corbin's game last night. They won 7 to 6.
Have a great time!
