JULY 8TH 2011

Another week has come to an end. Yesterday we had the critique for the history course and next thursday we will have the critique for studio. Overall I learned a lot, not only about my 2 assigned piazzas, but also about urban spaces that are successful versus others that are forgotten or have been taken over by automobile or scooter parking. Rome is particularly beautiful at 5 in the morning, if one can overlook the mounds of trash left over from the night. That early I felt like I had the city to my self, it was quiet, and I wasn't forced navigate through a maelstrom of cars, scooters, and tourists, as is the case during the day. My sketching abilities have improved a lot has a result of taking this course.
