I'm going to have to agree with Monica. When the city gets a little overwhelming, a trip to a more rural destination is the perfect solution. Out of the four cities we visited this past weekend, Assisi was by far my favorite. The view of the valley from the hill of Rocca Minore to the hill of Rocca Maggiore is well worth the hike past the city's wall. The other great thing about Assisi is that the churches are as breathtaking as the landscapes. The last photo may seem a little bit odd and out of place but it has sentimental value. Prior to traveling to Assisi, I had never seen a Firefly. The Firefly is that little green speck on my knuckle. I thought this made for an interesting photo, especially with the long shutter speed.
