Well its been awhile

Just as the last entry I thought that this would be easier, well i guess ill give a little recap of my life since the last time i was here, which may be a little harder than i think because it seems that so much can happen and does happen in a day. since the last entry i've been able to enjoy my birthday, in which i was able to visit the Trevi Fountain at night, (I've noticed that i seam to enjoy the tourist attractions more at night, especially the ones with bigger water features), other than that it was a mellow but memorable birthday. then about two weeks later we took a voyage to Assisi, which ended up being on of the most relaxing weekends that i have encountered here in italy. The scenery is amazing and its quite an interesting city to stay, i wouldn't mind staying there for about a week, just to enjoy the lifestyle. More recently, Angela, Danielle, Cale, Nikki and myself were able to escape to Milan for the weekend, which i will say was a blast. we were also able to go the Teatro alla Scala, which is acclaimed to be one of the best acoustical theaters in the world, (yeah were pretty much a big deal). Milan was a really interesting city not only for its fashion, which I'm not able to speak as poetically about as Angela, but i'll say that i think we all enjoyed the window display's for both their ingenuity and overall compositional layout. I personally really enjoyed the architecture there even though it was a very Fascist era of architecture, its interesting to realize how much impact a political movement can have upon a city, i say this because i don't know that much about Fascist architecture but i did feel a heavy presence of it while in milan. Lastly there were two other buildings that you almost have to talk about while in milan, the first being the duomo, which was just a beautiful ornate duomo, it was built from the late 14th century up till the 19th century, it is the second largest church, next St. Peter's. It ornate aesthetic is what stuck in my head because i just found it simply amazing and was awe-struck by its gothic details.
This currently brings me to the present point in time which i would like to say that i have enjoyed each city that I've had the privileged to visit while ive been here, but by far Rome is my favorite, for more than just one reason. Rome first off i would like to say "feels like home," i don't know any other way of saying it. Its a natural place to feel really comfortable, no matter how much ive enjoyed the weekend im always ready to come home to Rome. Secondly, ive almost been spoiled with the way in which the city never sleeps, for at the concert in Milan, we left the Teatro Alla Scale, (And if you were wondering, yeah i put that in there again, because were pretty much a big deal) and went on the search for food, it was about 9 or 10 and it was slim picking, were in rome the night would just be starting milan the night was almost over, granted it had rained a little earlier in the day but the night was over. Lastly as much as i liked Milan it felt different than Rome, more socially disconnected, were i feel that rome is a tightly woven fabric of small companies, restaurants, and venders that depend on one another to survive. Where as Milan came across as a group of disconnected corporations, pushing and pulling for their own survival.
Well thats about as much writing as i have done in a while, and i need to get back to studio.
take care
