A New Found Love for Sketchin Class

Back during school i would almost never just go out and sketch. It always frustrated me, and i never really enjoyed it, or thought that my drawing skills were any good at all. However, i never thought that i would enjoy sketching at all, but after walking around with Matt for three hours every other morning, its starting to grow on me. I've never been encountered with such a generous amount of interesting, quirky, and downright awe-inspiring buildings to draw! Just after one short week, our sketching sessions have become something that i look forward dearly! Between Matt and the city, i've really noticed improvement in this skill that is so vital to us as aspiring architects...

This is a sketch looking out and to the right of the pantheon.

We saw this crossroads arch on our first walking tour of ancient rome and the forum.

A sketch of Piazza Della Pigna, one of the piazzas that i am to study in full while i am here...

This is my first pencil sketch ever!!! And now i'm hooked, there is just so much more that you can do with a pencil vs. a pen, and Matt finally turned me on to it.
